STARTING WITH THE INNER SECTION FIRST DO THE FOLLOWING.
1. Check the weld on the inner foot.
2. Check the bolt on the inner foot. Check that the nut is tight on bolt. Look for impact damage on bolts which can occur when the Brace is dropped from height. If damaged replace immediately with Structural Steel grade 8.8 bolts and Nyloc Nut to suit. DO NOT REUSE PARTS.
3. Wire brush thread and oil thread work in to the closed position (make sure thread moves easily without binding). In the closed position check the stop weld on the end of the thread through the inspection hole in the Panel Brace.
4. Check the weld around the thread nut and the inner tube.
5. Check inner section holes for elongation.
GO TO THE OUTER SECTION
1. Check the weld on the outer foot.
2. Check bolt on foot. Check the nut is tight. Follow step three (3) as outlined above for damaged bolts and replace as described in step three (3).
3. Check pivot movement and lubricate pivot through the oil hole.
4. Check pivot socket and outer tube weld connection.
5. Check outer section shear pin holes for elongation
6. Check fixed metal tags on inner and outer sections that they are matching units and production dates.
7. Check "LARGE Print" Yellow Caution label and Model label are on Panel Brace.
After checking and servicing units close the Panel Brace to the closed position and return to stock pile and reissue as required.
